Chicken Enchilada Pinwheels with Tabañero Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce

This chicken enchilada pinwheels recipe yields 15 servings and takes only 20 minutes to prepare, with no baking required. The addition of Tabañero Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce makes this recipe easier but still tastier than its competition.

Equipment Used in this Chicken Enchilada Pinwheel Recipe

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Large cutting board
  • Serrated knife
  • Large serving tray

Ingredients

  • 1 8-ounce package of cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon of taco seasoning of choice
  • ½ tablespoon of Tabañero Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce
  • 1 cup of shredded rotisserie chicken
  • ½ of a 10-ounce can of diced tomatoes with green chilies drained
  • ½ teaspoon of minced garlic
  • 2 green onions sliced
  • ¼ cup of chopped cilantro
  • 4 burrito-sized tortillas

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, cheddar cheese, taco seasoning, and Tabañero Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce. Add the rotisserie chicken, diced tomatoes with green chilies, garlic, green onions, and cilantro. Mix all the ingredients until well combined, forming a chicken enchilada mixture.

Lay one burrito-sized tortilla on a large cutting board. Spread about half of a cup of the chicken enchilada mixture onto the tortilla and roll up tightly. Repeat this process with the remaining three tortillas.

After assembling, line up the chicken enchilada tortillas seam down to prevent them from unraveling. Refrigerate the chicken enchiladas tortillas for at least 30 minutes. The longer the chicken enchilada tortillas chill, the easier they will be to cut into pinwheels.

When ready to serve, use a serrated knife to slice each chicken enchilada into half-inch pinwheels. Arrange the pinwheels evenly on a large serving tray. Serve chilled with Tabañero Sweet and Spicy Hot Sauce on the side.

Make Basketball Season Hotter with Tabañero

Tabañero does hot sauce differently, providing an all-natural, gluten-free alternative to the vinegary nobodies of hot sauce. Now, with placements in grocery stores like Walmart, Meijer, and Winn-Dixie, Tabañero is bringing better hot sauce, taco sauce, and barbecue sauce to the masses. Whether a recipe calls for spicy, sweet, or zesty, Tabañero has the sauce.
