Chicken wings. You really can't go wrong with a recipe like this. With our Chef Fama campaign in full swing, we figured it'd be a good time to share his recipe for Tabanero Garlic Chicken Wings. What are you waiting for? Get cooking.
- 12 - Whole Chicken Wings (no tips)
- 2 tbsp. - Chopped Garlic
- 2 tbsp. - Tabañero Hot Sauce
- 1 tbsp. - Honey
- 2 tbsp. - Butter
- 2 tbsp. - Fresh Chopped Cilantro
- 3-4 cups - Canola Oil
- 2 cups - Blue Cheese Dressing
Before you begin, preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Heat canola oil in a heavy pot to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and add half the chicken wings to the oil and fry them until they are golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 to 7 minutes. Remove oil and drain on paper towels. Repeat with the other half of the wings.
In a saucepan, heat butter, honey and garlic over medium-low heat. Add the Tabañero hot sauce, let it bubble up, and then turn off the heat. Place the wings in an ovenproof dish and pour the hot sauce over the top. Toss to coat, and then bake in the oven for 15 minutes.
