Ingredients Used in this Sith Lord Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas Recipe

  • 1 pound of large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 ½ cups of fresh lime juice
  • 8 corn tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 cup of fresh tomato, diced
  • 1 cup of white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup of cucumber, diced
  • ½ cup of fresh cilantro, finely chopped
  • 1 jalapeño, deseeded and minced
  • 1 tablespoon of Tabañero Key Lime Habanero Hot Sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 avocado 

Spicy Mayonnaise

½ cup of McCormick Mayonesa with Lime Juice

1 ½ tablespoons of Tabañero Taco Sauce

Instructions for Sith Lord Shrimp Ceviche Tostadas

Chop shrimp into bite-sized pieces and add to a medium glass bowl. Pour in lime juice to fully submerge. Then cover the shrimp and refrigerate for 30 minutes to marinate, stirring occasionally, until the shrimp turn opaque and firm.

While the shrimp marinate, brush both sides of the corn tortillas with olive oil. Arrange the corn tortillas in a single layer in the air fryer, cooking them at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crisp. Let cool on a wire rack.

In a small bowl, stir together the Mayonesa and Tabañero Taco Sauce until smooth.

Once the shrimp are done, drain the excess lime juice. Add tomato, onion, cucumber, cilantro, jalapeño, and Tabañero Key Lime Habanero Hot Sauce. Toss to combine the ingredients and season with salt and pepper.

Slice the avocado thinly. Spread spicy mayo on each tostada, spoon on the ceviche, top with avocado, and drizzle with extra hot sauce.

Serve immediately, or refrigerate the ceviche separately until it’s time to assemble.
