Every bite brings together smoky hickory, sweet apple, tangy slaw, and tender pork for a deliciously bold slider that’s perfect for parties, game days, or an easy weekend meal!
Ingredients:
- 2 lbs pork shoulder
- 1 cup Tabañero Apple Hickory BBQ Sauce (plus more for serving)
- Slider buns
- 1 cup apple slaw (coleslaw mixed with diced apples)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pork: Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper. Cook low and slow at 300°F for 3–4 hours, or until the pork reaches an internal temperature of 205°F and shreds easily with a fork.
- Shred & Sauce: Shred the pork and toss with 1 cup of Tabañero Apple Hickory BBQ Sauce until evenly coated. Return to low heat for 5–10 minutes so the sauce caramelizes into the meat.
- Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the slider buns until golden brown.
- Build the Sliders: Pile the warm pulled pork onto each toasted bun.
- Add the Slaw: Top with a generous scoop of crisp apple slaw.
- Finish & Serve: Drizzle with extra Tabañero Apple Hickory BBQ Sauce and serve warm.
Tip: For the best flavor, let the BBQ sauce caramelize into the pulled pork before assembling your sliders.
